Position Summary:

• Part Time, salaried position with average of 25 hours per week
• Inviting, nurturing, and empowering children birth to fifth grade, and their families into growing relationships with Jesus and the church community

Personal Qualifications:

• A personal faith and growing relationship in Jesus Christ modeled in all areas of life
• Servant leader with a passion for discipling children and their families
• Ability to inspire, recruit and equip talented team members from the congregation
• Energetic, loving and engaging personality

Professional Qualifications:

• Christian Education degree or experience in related field preferred
• Ability to use current social media platforms and other relevant technology
• Team player

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, coordinate and implement all programs relating to the children (i.e., education, mission, recreation)
• Effectively communicate and promote the activities and needs of the children’s program to staff, church leaders, families and congregation
• Continually evaluate and enhance the Children’s Ministry curriculum
• Attend relevant professional development opportunities
• Review and maintain children’s ministry budget
• Attend weekly staff meetings and children’s ministry team meetings
• Adopt and adhere to the Essential Tenets of ECO and support the Mission Statement and Foundational Values of MCC (www.eco-pres.org)
